Using the Arrows?
Well through my 2 simple years on this game, every time i play some 1 in the highly skilled level of nearly aaa'ing very challenging and some master songs(jus to give a range of skill) i tend to ask afterwards "u use arrows or letters" every1 always says letters...this is jus a call out to all the peeps that kick ass with arrows because i'd like to verse ya wen ffr comes back, becuse it is harder, especially the yellow doublez =D well ima go back to playing the best game ever(ffr) lol=] thx for ur time
ps. this is no hate to the people that use the letters sulfer dragon's amazin and he uses letters so in know way shud any harm be taken to that=] peace..

I think you have this all wrong.. It's a matter of convenience. You should first understand that there are different styles of playing, such as index and spread, and not just arrows versus letters. That being said, you either play index or some other style, you're a girl, you have really skinny hands/long fingers, or you have giant ass keyboard with huge keys on it. Spread--using two hands and a "letter" layout-- is just easier for playing those more difficult songs, and it's the easiest to learn as well. I REALLY hope you're not using spread though, and if you are you should consider switching to index, or try using "letters".

you've got to understand it really does come across as though you're using it as an excuse when you get beat.

no no trust me, well 1st off u make a perfect point partisan and i take that completely and Andy im not using it as an excuse..if i was to play spread i cud not do as well as them im jus wondering if people even use all 4 arrows bcuz i have yet to fnd any1.any1 who beats me more than i beat them i consider them better than me in this game =] i was just wondering more of the ratio of spread(letters in most cases) to people that use the 4 arrows.no complaining or excuses were meant to be made i was just curious.i actually use 2 hands on the 4 arrows Partisan thats how i play.. jus to give u a clear picture man. anyone who beats me gets my full conscent and shall be agnoledged as better=] i rly have messed the fun afternoons and night versing tough opponents so i jus want the competition to come back to this fun game.FFR forever!

I use arrows, but I wasn't really active for the longest time when it came to other players, I didn't go into MP or any chats, let alone the forum. Because of that, I wasn't really aware of the fact that you could play it another way lol
But yeah, I haven't really played in a while, so I'm not all that great but yes, I use the arrows. I've tried spread and one-handed on the keyboard (not sure what that's called :P but I used j,k,l,; )

i was using arrows until 4 days ago when my kb died and on this kb arrows just suck so i play with letters.
Arrow is much much better than with letters, u can use ur wrists to add speed and such, people who use letters just cant understand that.
oh and i almost aaa fmo's now and i sdg gurus, i guess that makes me high skilled for arrows.

Whatever gets you the better scores is all that matters.
Or whatever way you find to be the most enjoyable, its all preferences. Some people choose to play spread so they can be able to get better and play the hardest songs possible. Others may just like to play the game for fun and play a style like index because it is like DDR with only using 2 fingers or one handed because thats ones first instinct to do when they are introduced to the game. Being me, I choose to learn and be able to do every style, even though im not equally skilled in all the areas it is still good to know how to play each one.
